.
Let me introduce you to my 1 year old. If you don't remember the basics this is Charlie Noah Rippy. He was born on good Friday, April 2, 2010. He was born 8 lbs 13 oz and now weighs 18 lbs 10 oz. He is 28 inches long. He is walking and has been since he was 10 months old. I assume he didn't like crawling on the hardwood floors. He says da da, uh oh, and various other grunts and das that mean other things. Initially we had a rough time with sleeping but now he is just as easy to put down as Evalie was. The only difference is Charlie doesn't sleep in like Evalie did. His favorite foods are bananas, anything that comes out of the microwave, anything that I have on my plate, or anything non edible, with dirt and drywall being the top two favorites. Recently he has been taking a spoon and nail and trying to hammer into the drywall, yes he does occasionally get a nail. He also likes to take spoons and cups and stir. He is learning to ride his new CAT dumptruck. He tries to put lids on cups and drink from them. He tries to run from Jeff and I when he is about to do something we don't want him to do. He has an exceptional smile, he smiles with his eyes and they are striking. Jeff and I think so, but random people will come up to us and tell us how amazing his eyes are. If he wants something he points to it, raises his eyebrows and says "dada". He waves to everyone. Random people all day long and its so cute because he lifts his hand above his head, rest his head on him arm, and waves up and down with a great big smile on his face. Like you are his best friend and he can't wait to see you. When I sweep the floor he follows me and when I have a pile he takes his hand and starts pusing the dirt everywhere. He is very interested in the vacuum. He never laughs or smiles at it, it just intrigues him as to what it is doing. He has started picking up things to give it to you. He has started to throw tantrums. He collapses to his belly, kicks his legs out and starts kicking while whining. Its so funny, I have to look away as to not encourage such behavior. He is my toy player. He likes toys and will sit and play for a long time. He dances to Evalie's singing. He bites the back of your legs or your knee caps, so watch out. He shakes his head when you tell him no no. Like Evalie he is a paper eater. He takes a daily snack of toilet paper. He really is a happy baby, he pulls on mine and Jeff's and Evalie's heart strings, all in a different way. We love love love this little boy.
